A deterministic, evidence-limited scorecard using trend, momentum, participation, entry geometry, data quality, and explicit risk gates. It narrows research; it does not place trades.
Select a ticker to calculate a research state.
Fixed long/cash SMA 20/50 rule. Signals use the prior close and execute at the next open with trading friction, preventing same-bar lookahead. This tests the underlying shares—not historical option contracts.
Select a ticker to run the historical simulation.
The output is capped by both your loss budget and maximum position percentage. Missing values stay unknown.
Ticker and current price preload automatically. Fundamental inputs remain blank until you enter and verify them from filings; the app never invents missing cash flow or debt.
Official release and API-change items checked as of July 26, 2026. These are compatibility checks, not market predictions.
These formulas describe the deterministic calculations used by the PC and web applications. Thresholds are visible inputs or saved rules.
| Calculation | Formula | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Option midpoint | (Bid + Ask) ÷ 2 | Planning price only; use live limit prices. |
| Bid/ask spread % | (Ask − Bid) ÷ Midpoint × 100 | Lower is generally more executable. |
| Option candidate score | Spread quality × 35% + Open-interest score × 25% + Volume score × 20% + Spot-proximity score × 20% | Ranks chain usability, not expected profit. |
| Position shares | MIN(Loss budget ÷ (Price × adverse-move %), Portfolio × max-position % ÷ Price) | Both loss and concentration limits bind. |
| Return on risk | Maximum gain ÷ Maximum loss × 100 | Only meaningful when both bounds are reliable. |
| Probability of profit | Normal-model probability that expiration price exceeds/falls below strategy breakeven | Model estimate, not a guarantee. |
| DCF fair value | [PV(FCF years 1–5) + PV(terminal value) − net debt] ÷ diluted shares | Screen-grade until inputs are verified to filings. |
| Backtest trade return | Exit price ÷ Entry price − 1, after configured friction | Prior-close signal; next-open execution. |
| Profit factor | Gross winning returns ÷ absolute gross losing returns | Unknown when no losing trades exist. |
| Maximum drawdown | MIN(Equity ÷ prior peak equity − 1) | Worst peak-to-trough historical decline. |
Each candle summarizes one selected time bar. The body spans the open and close: green means the close finished above the open; red means it finished below. The thin upper and lower wicks show the bar's high and low.
Doji: open and close are nearly equal, so buyers and sellers are undecided. The app labels it Wait for confirmation. A hammer can show bullish rejection and a shooting star can show bearish rejection, but only when trend, momentum, volume, levels, and data quality agree.
Patterns are context, not standalone trade signals. The 1-minute chart requests one trading day; the 5-minute chart requests five trading days. Intraday bars can be noisy, delayed, partial, or absent outside market hours. Verify the current quote with your broker before acting.
Your rules stay on this PC. Blank inputs remain unknown and are never changed to zero.

Enter what you can spend and how long you expect to hold. The backend loads current online candidates, filters them to your position size and risk preference, ranks up to 25, and explains the evidence. These are research candidates, not predicted winners.
Compare owning shares now with waiting for possible put assignment.
Selling an uncovered call is blocked. Enter the shares you own to evaluate a covered call.
Plan reference levels before a potential buy or short sale. Stops cannot guarantee a fill.
Scores catalyst timing, share float, short interest, days-to-cover, and relative volume. It calculates a 0–10 match score, stop reference, and estimated loss using rules you can change and save.

Positions stored in this app, current/cached prices, and concise research notes. No order is placed.
Compute an option's Black-Scholes Greeks and see what each one means in plain language. Spot auto-fills from the last analyzed ticker. Volatility is the option's implied volatility as a decimal (0.25 = 25%).
Profit/loss at expiration across stock prices. Values auto-fill when you click an option row above. Hover the chart for P/L at any price, wheel to zoom, drag to pan, double-click to reset.
Optionally enter your Alpaca market-data keys to compare a read-only quote with the configured provider. Keys stay in Windows Credential Manager on this PC and are never displayed again.
